View Full Version : Depth finder in Vdig not working

05-28-2012, 11:59 AM
Was going to search for some clean water this weekend in some off the beaten path locations only to find that my vdig wasn't giving me a reading on depth or water temperature. As in the places that information would come up are just blank. Any advice as to what I can do to try to fix this myself instead of having to pull the boat and bring it back to the dealer?

Do you have air or water temperature? If you do not have water, it might be your triducer. Mine just went out on my 2008 X-45

dont know if it helps but my depth finder on my 2008 X2 don't work if going too fast OR if the depth is really high (we often have depth over 70m here) but you'r saying you were in shallow water so, still even if depth finder shows nothing the Air & Water temp still work...

We sometimes have to shut off engine and Vdig completely to make it work again...

I get air but no water temp how easy is this to fix. I have the boat on a lift so I can do some work on it.

I am fairly certain that it is the triducer. I had the same thing happen to me. Had the dealer do the work. No water temp and depth.
