View Full Version : Old Kidder ski - anyone?
Found this at Play it Again sports today for $14.99. It's 67" - avg. condition. Anyone know anything about it? Graphics say "KS Graphite", and "Pro Fin" - I'm guessing early 90's era and a decent ski for my kid's friends (180 pounds and up..all free skiing), compared to a slalom from a combo set?
I may remove the 'pro wrap'.....and fin has a wing, keep or toss?

Great boat ski for free skiing. That was a nice upper mid level ski in its day. Much better than a single from a combo set. Just the double boots is a huge improvement. They look to be in good shape too. Nice find for $14.99. I would have bought it. Leave it as is for the guests to use.

That is a nice find. I would try and get an open toe rear as that will be much easier for inexperienced skiers.

Keep the wing on if experienced riders willing be using, otherwise remove it if its going to be for rec use by novice or begginers. Nice find for the price.
Thanks guys, I may try and modify the rear by removing the wrap and heel cup to make it a little easier for beginners, might also remove the wrap on the front binding too. Otherwise, for $15 I didn't think I could go wrong.
I have a Connelly Pilot which I bought 5-6 years ago just returning to skiing, and have 'outgrown' it in terms of speed, etc. I hope to demo a Senate and Carbon V later this sumer - I might give this ski a try this weekend!
Both of my girls were able to slalom last year and enjoyed it, now they want to ski and 'show off' for their friends and boy friends. Maybe...just maybe I will pull more skiers than tubers over the next 3 days:)

Nice find. The bindings look like in great shape (produced by Wileys) too. This should work MUCH better than the Connelly Pilot for you.
