The tendon injury forum just made me come up with an idea for a thread...what's your worse injuries or surgery related to sports or sking/waking, etc?

Yikes. Lots of stories, none are fun. Bad stuff can happen - ski safe, have a plan.

For me,
Torn ACL in both knees from wakboarding. One in '96, the other in '08.

Also tore some cartiladge in my shoulder from a snowboarding fall at Breckinridge in '07. Had surgery to repair all the injuries and now i'm good as new! Not.

Worse wreck I ever saw was my brother learning to foot off a kneeboard behind our 1979 Ski Nautique...got up for about 30 yards and did the good ole head-over-heals about 3-4 times....damndest wreck i ever saw. Had to slide him on the teak platform and limp back to the pier....lifted the boat on the lift with him still on the platform so i could get him on the deck. He laid on the couch for 4 days with muscle relaxers and pain meds.

The worse part?...this was the week before he was getting mariied...his wife, my sister-in-law, wouldn't talk to me for 3-4 months.

The next part?...he went to a chiropractor to get adjusted and the dude came back and asked when he broke his back?!!!!!!!!!!

Dislocated my shoulder on a backroll gone wrong. This was about 6 weeks ago and started riding again two weeks ago with minimal pain.

Slalom run fall , torn ac tendon in shoulder, torn rotator cuff, torn pec muscle, removed 1 inch from my clavicle. All from 1 fall on a perfect calm Sunday morning run .
