Starting up the boat after a it's winter hibernation.

Changed the fuel filter & separator so the fuel lines are bone dry. Is it worth pour some gas into the carb before the first start, or do you just crank it for a while to get the gas flowing?

I lube up the impeller and strut with dawn dish soap. Pour some gas into a water bottle and pour about a 1/4 cup or so down the carb. Hook up the water and hit it.
(I drain the bowls every year as part of my winterization)
