I have an ufp A-60 hydraulic brake actuator on my trailer. I need to replace the breakaway cable.
Do I have to remove the slide to replace the cable? I canít see any other way.
Thanks for any help.

Which style of trailer do you have?

Does it look like this one?

I have the manual of the trailer and this actuator. When I replaced mine I did disassemble the tongue but I'll scan the manual and upload it so you can look at it.

Here is a link to the scanned page for the actuator. It's 1.2 megs so hopefully it's enough detail for you.

Short answer is, Yes, you have to disassemble the actuator to replace the cable. Sometimes the two big pins can be a pain to take out. I know . . . I just did mine a couple of weeks ago.

yes..you might as well change the shock and wear pads as long as you have the actuator taken apart...get some beer and get a friend over to blead the brake lines as well.

Should take you all of about 10min to replace the cable start to finish. All the steps are easily found on their website. Mine had a quick disconnect for the break line, so I didn't have to bleed them. Good luck!
