That was the "calm" before the storm. I tried to reply earlier but we lost power. I think it's pretty much passed on now. Maybe time for round two. The wife and I are in the basement rec room drinking wine and looking at the swinsuit thread!!! *If ya know what I mean? wink, wink, nod, nod*

Well I guess you got lucky as did we. The real bad stuff was about a mile north of us. From what the news is saying there was some pretty good damage.

Watching the weather report over here in Michigan and the storms are breaking up as they cross the lake. Report says there were 26 reports of tornados in Wisconsin today. Glad to here you guys made out OK.

Thanks Rick... yeah it was pretty caaaraaazzzyyyy!! Currently my boat is on a mooring buoy. I went down to the pier a couple times just to check and make sure it was still where it was supposed to be. :eek3:

I'm not sure that covered and moored isn't better than being in a boat lift. When the big winds come up, those lifts (especially the aluminum ones) can get tossed around boat and all.

We had a big storm last week - this picture was a lake about 10 miles south of us...picture that boat as a MasterCraft instead of a Lund. Brings a little tear to the eye...

Yeah BigMac, You're right. While moored, my boat always is "nosed" into the wind. That is a huge benefit. Not to mention that the anchor is a huge cast iron ingot. I can barely move the thing. One of my friends (from whom I got the anchor) is the engineer and manager of a foundry here WI where they cast the 351 engine blocks. He has told me on numerous occasions that when ever I need a new motor just let him know. My wife is the crew on his sailboat. I'm set!!!

Atleast the boat is floating :D

Remember, bilge pump always on auto! :steering:

I agree... I can't imagine going down to your lift and seeing the carnage. That being said, it looks like the boat in the pic might have made it through the ordeal with only some cosmetic damage. It's still seat side up!

Thanks, Danimal, I think you got the storm headed for me, but earlier they said it parted with most going north!

MC and Lexus, two of the best machines around. THanks goodness because I'll probably have both until death do we part!

It had sunk in addition to getting banged around inside the lift. They had already bailed it by the time the picture was taken. The hard part was getting the boat out of the lift after they re-floated it. This particular lift and boat were tossed 100 ft by the wind onto a neighbor's dock.

I haven't heard anyhting from Whitewater either. Watching the radar last night I would say that they most likely just got some real good thunder-boomers, possibly some big hail.
