View Full Version : Crooked 2012 X-25 Mastercraft Trailer

This weekend I was applying my registration numbers on my 2012 X-25. My dad was sitting on the tailgate of my truck directly in front of my Boat/trailer and pointed out the fact that the tongue of the trailer looked crooked, I noticed it too. I had 3 more friends and a neighbor look at it to see if they could see it to make sure we were not seeing things and they all noticed it too.
Now I know I could get it fixed (at Mastercrafts expense) but now I question if the rest of the trailer is square. If the tongue is cut off and aligned correctly than I will be concerned with the "strength" of the New weld and the fact that all the metal in that area has been heated up two or more times compromising the integrity of the metal.

Replace it from the swing tongue forward.

Yea, it looks like the trailer itself is good. Just from the swing tongue forward looks out of wack.....

Same thoughts here on replacing the swinging portion of the tongue.

On a 2012, I figure if you take it back to the dealer and point it out they can get one sent from MC.

Definatly a warranty / quaulity issue that MC should easily replace the swing tounge.

Have you taken a square to try to figure what is out of alignment?

Get rid of the boat buddy while you're at it and replace it with the roller.

When is MC going to give up the trailer building business?... My original 2003 ps197 trailer was replaced (by MC) because of similar issues... They gave me a 2005 which is better but I've removed both brake calipers after they seized up (I don't need the trailer brakes with my truck).

And the boat buddies are only good for about 5 times loading... then you will be replacing it.

I would demand a new trailer!... Good luck!
