Posted the same thing twice, sorry. What do you guys do with blower? Do you leave it on all the time or turn it off after startup? Book says run for 4 minutes before starting motor then while idling. I am afraid I will get busy with the person in the water and not start it. If the thing can handle continuous running then that seems like the thing to do.

It can handle near constant running, and is a cheap replacement if it fails. I end up leaving mine on frequently even when I have enough speed to turn it off, as I definitely prefer to err on the side of over-use. Fuel vapor in the box is bad. . .

If you leave your boat in the water or on a lift its a good idea to run your blow for vapors...if you tow it the airflow while towing will clear the fumes as well as running on the water.... I always check for the smell of gas fumes when the boats in the garage and keep the dog house open to keep it vented.

Only run it before start ups. If boat has been sitting a while, I will pop the engine cover also to let it breath..........

I knew they had to have a thread on this already, but I was too lazy to look.
