Amp - Sub Wiring

I have installed the following system over the winter:

KDC-x595 Head Unit / MBQuart 660 6ch amp/db651 x 4

I have purchased a Kicker 12" sub and box to add to system.

The system is running fine without the sub on 4 channels of the amp.

A bit confused on how to wire the amp to sub RCA hookup, after looking at the following diagrams from the head unit and amp, respectively:

Do I just wire the f/r dedicated sub outputs from head unit to channel 5/6 of the amp with an RCA cable? The diagram notes a "Y" cable from amp to head unit, but the 595 has dedicated sub outputs.

I installed the sub from the amp bridging channels 5/6 (+ and -, respectively).

The y splitter is in the event you don't have a dedicated sub output. So yes just run the sub channel Rca's to channels 5 and 6 and you are done. Don't forget to tune it correctly with the boat running. Make sure you filter switches are set to flat on the front 1-4 and low on the 5-6 lines.
