My ignition switch bit it last weekend. Basically got jammed in the 'start' position, so whenever I took it out of gear (into neutral) the starter would engage. It absolutely would not move from the start position. We were at the ski spot so we packed it in with the boat basically feathered in neutral (not actually locked in neutral) and headed back to the launch. As we approached the launch I figured what the hell and cranked really hard on it. With a pretty good amount of force it broke free, however it now would turn 360 degrees, but actually did the correct function when it passed over it (acc, off, run, start). We drank a few more beers putting around downtown annapolis then headed home. I was glad i avoided having to pull the battery lead off just to turn it off.

Anyways I'm looking for a replacement. Does anybody know where I can get the similar switch (black with rubber 'gasket') with mastercraft keys? I see quite a few similar looking switches on ebay but don't know which mine has (3 blade, 4 blade).

Boat is a 1999 sportstar.

I bought the 4 position one from skidim and it was identical to my OEM 2000 switch right down to even being the same key. The only difference was that it had a weatherproof rubber boot on the keyhole. Swapped it in pin for pin and it works fine. I think it was $23.
