I am about to embark on the journey of restoring a 1970 MC with a 340 Chrysler Marine. The boat is complete It went thru a color change at some point in its life. I plan on putting it back to its proper state. It being such an early boat and pre stars and stripes. I will go with the graphic shown in this pic as below. I would appreciate any pics or sales literature that is not currently in the threads. I have been a member of the site for quite sometime and am familiar with the stuff here. Anything new is appreciated. Below is the scheme I will go with. I was told my a man who lives near Knoxville TN that this boat was most likely assembled in FL and not Maryville due to the Chrysler engine and 1970 build date. This man helped to lay up the first 80 or so boats for MC. I am just now putting the finishing touches on a November of 1972 boat that was sold as a 1973. I will post pics soon. It has factory Chevy powerplant. Thanks.

The near completed 72/73 boat. We covered the doghouse due to some knucklehead cutting speaker holes into it.

The 70. Love the air scoop on the doghouse and the extra high ski pole. That 340 is loud with the straight hoses at speed. LOL

Is the swim platform missing, or did it not have one to begin with?

Cool projects! I love the old boats with the curved windshield.

Technically the 72/73 boat should not have one. The 70 is proper not having one. It is quite a chore getting back in a boat without one. LOL. Thanks demo....I have worn that thread out with reference. Was just hoping for some extra stuff that might be out there. Thanks guys.

Just love the old boats. That 1970 is a great find.

Do you have a year on the brochure on your first post?
