Ok guys, I took a lot of pictures today so I'll try to weed through them and post them in separate posts. As I mentioned earlier, there were a fair amount of X30s rolling down the line today so you'll see a variety of those mixed in with some in process pics. Let me know if you would like to see more than these. Enjoy!!:):)

Spraying gelcoat in an X30

Finishing up gelcoat on that same X30
77381
A sweet X30 getting ready to role off the line
77382
A choice 197TT getting ready to head to it's new owner
77383
A rack of ZFT4s getting ready to be assembled. Lots of these towers being installed on boats. Very nice and ease of use is unreal. Glad I ordered this tower on my 45.

Let me know if you want to see some more because I have a lot more. Cheers. ;);)

I love all the pics! Post everything you have! I love to see how they are painted from the outside-in and the hull being created.

I have wanted to go to the factory for a couple of years now, but haven't had the chance to get up there yet. We go to Pigeon Forge every year the weekend before Christmas, but they are always closed on that Friday. It always bothers me to be so close yet so far away.

X30 interior mold getting gelcoat sprayed.
77385
Sweet Ilmor finding it's way into a new home.
77386
Top cap of an X55 getting a test fit to the hull. Very quality.
77387
Cutting individual fiberglass templates for each boat coming into production. 22 layers of glass goes onto every part of each boat. Impressive.
77388
Not a MC, but a 42' Hydra Sports with Quad 350 Yamahas hanging off the back!! 1400 HP!!!! Holy smokes!! What a beast!!
77389

More to come. These are just the beginning...:):):)

Very nice X30 waiting to go down the line.
77391

Guy working on the topcap and getting the throttle control in place.
77402

Installing ballast lines.
77403

Sweet X30 getting carpet laid down. You may recognize 'Dewrag', as he goes by, from some of the videos on the MC website working his tail off on the carpet job. What a quality guy. Love this Canadian Blue Flake with Silver Flake accent.
77404

Prostar getting a tower installed.
77405

More to come tomorrow...;););)

One thing I have really noticed and LOVE as of late is all the bold color usage people are doing. Its not the same old white/blue, white/red.

Were any of the boats in production having the ZFT2s installed or were they all ZFT4 and ZFT5P?

The majority of the boats in production were having either the ZFT4s or ZFT5s installed.

Taking a tour through the factory is truly an eye-opening experience. Having been through 4 tours plus several other visits I can say once you learn how these are built then see other construction techniques, you become a believer (in my case a disciple ) . The part that I still haven't been able to wrap my head around is when they pick these boats up by the 3 D rings on the boat.

I asked the same question. They aren't using the 2-point towers on the prostar boats yet so they still get the 4-point towers.

I've driven the point home to my buddy about not putting a 2-point tower on a 197/190.

There are definitely plenty of bold color combinations coming out that's for sure. I for one am not a huge fan of a lot of them as I'm more of a traditional color guy and if I ordered one that was on the bolder side I'm not sure I'd get my wife on the boat. She doesn't understand all the oranges, greens, etc...hence, I had to stick with the blues...:rolleyes::cool::rolleyes:

Nope. I wasn't able to tour the R&D facility as there apparently a bunch of things going on we can't be privy to..:o:o

However, I did see the first off the production line 2013 X Star sitting in the water at the dock getting ready for some test runs. I couldn't get down to see it up close, but from a distance it looked SWEET!!! :):):)

I've always liked the basic colors too, but I thought the orange one was pretty sweet. I guess seeing it on the boat changed my mind.
