Has anyone installed surf tabs on this hull?

I'm looking for 2 things. A better surf wave, and better ride in chop......

Thoughts?

Everything I have read is that surf tabs are a waste of money. You'd be better off with more ballast.

Brian - I installed the 2011 MasterCraft Attitude Adjustment Plate on my 2002 X-30. Here's a link. It works great and totally changed the ride of the boat - no more porpoising (spelling??).

VERY nice Prostar! Your boat is an inspiration. Possibly the nicest X30 in existence......

I would love to add the attitude plate as well, but it would require redoing my ballast system and I simply cant justify the time and expense on such an old boat.
