yo what is going on people. I need to get some new tires on my 85 trailer. The size of tires that are on there now say F7814ST. I cannot find any tires anywhere that say this. Does anyone know the size that i need to get. The tires and rims on the trailer are the orginal rims and tires if that helps.

Thanks

ThanksI have a set of Goodyear Marathons (Load range C) on the way. They are 205x75xR14 and I'll have American Racing Wheels (Outlaw II series, brushed aluminum) to mount them on. Wheels are about $100 ea. and the tires are $105 ea including mount and balance, and shipping. I have the standard trailer that came with the 85 model. That should get you going.

Your originals are a Ford pattern 5 lug on 4-1/2" center-to-center (5 on 4-1/2), 6" wide.

Good info Sporty.
I replaced F7814's last year with 205x75xR14. I got talked out of Goodyear Marathons. Wished I would have gotten them.

Do you think that you can put 15 inch rims on there with a smaller tire? If so what size tire?

I have 15's on mine and they suck. They fill up the wheel well too much. Stick with the 14's

Definitely stick with the 14" wheel.

The F7814ST is not a radial tire....probably wouldn't want them even if you could find them. I replaced my tires about a year ago. I got Goodyear Marathons on a 5 spoke aluminum wheel for $135 each.

Got mine on today. The Marathons and the AR OutlawII wheels. I like the heck out of these. Load range C on the tires with 45 pounds of air works well (a 50 pound recommended max). Not really worthy of a pic, being that it's common tires and wheels.

US $417.01, including TN sales tax(0.0925%), mount/balance.

The 14" dia is what I'd stick with.

A year or two ago we all were getting a pretty good price for the 14" Marathons on Tire Rack.com I haven't looked in awhile.

A year or two ago we all were getting a pretty good price for the 14" Marathons on Tire Rack.com I haven't looked in awhile. For what I bought, Tire Rack had them for $75 plus shipping, no tax (raised white letters, load C). I just let the tire man locally do everything. My time is worth the few dollars difference for my needs. But Tire Rack is a good place to get them.
