My dad sent me this pic... looks like an 04 based on the tower. Can't tell much more than that. The wrap makes me think it could be a diesel?

What do you guys think?

MC offered a VW TDI for a while, mostly popular in Europe. Very expensive factory option. Bet it pulled well.

There was a company in Oklahoma that I saw a few years ago that was offering marinized Chevy diesel engines for inboards.

You'd think it's probably not the VW one if it has Mercury plastered on the side. Very interesting!

It would be cool to have that boat.

There was a 197 with the VW diesel in it when I was at the factory in '08. I have pics someplace.

Who knows? That thing has at least 3 different trailer wheels, maybe it has 3 engines? :)

There was an X-star in FLorida with a 6 cylinder Diesel. Yanmar I believe. If my memory is correct, it was a test boat, not a production boat. Produced before the TDI was an option in some of the models.

I would love a boat with a diesel engine in it because of the increased torque and fuel economy
