What Do You Guys Think? Big Difference Huh?

Looks great!

This Was Only One Pass With The Rubbing Compound And Wax. Man That Buffer Will Wear You Out!!

03-23-2012, 11:07 AM
Wow, what a difference. It looks like a whole new boat! Even the white gelcoat looks 100x better. 02, want to take a trip up North and do my boat?

I guess its probably time to get my Porter Cable out and buff my 190 up before summer season shows up. I am going to be using a couple of car products that I have found to be really incredible. Poorboys high cut swirl removers (polishes), Mezerna Final Polish and then Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze. Anybody see any issues with using Auto products on gelcoat?

03-23-2012, 11:11 AM
Wow. Beautiful. Did you use an intermediate cut between the 3m compound and the wax to get rid of any swirls?

03-23-2012, 11:13 AM
Nope, Just Did The Rubbing Compound Then Went Straight To The Wax. Kept The Buffer Running Slow To Prevent The Swirls And It Came Out Pretty Good. It Was The First Time I Buffed Anything And Man I Wsa Tired As Heck Afterwards!

Nice work, I paid someone to do mine....... I do need to do the trailer fenders though.

03-23-2012, 11:58 AM
nice job - boat looks beautiful!

03-23-2012, 12:53 PM
Great work. How slow did you run the buffer. The buffer I have is not a name brand and the settings are numbered (1-5?)

03-23-2012, 12:56 PM
I Ran The Buffer Pretty Slow About 8oo Rpms...seemed To Work Better

03-23-2012, 01:49 PM
So, I seem to remember you had that nasty cracked spot in the gelcoat/glass. Did you end up taking care of that before buffing the boat?

I think I see it in one of the pictures, but its tough to tell. It looks awesome, so I am hoping you got that patched up and repaired! She's a beaut!

03-23-2012, 02:44 PM
That Spot Is Still There...it Goes Inthe Shop To Get That Fixed Next Week.
My Cousin Handling All That. We Will Prob Have To Do Some Touching Up On It When We Get It Back. Hopefully We Brought Out The Gell Coat Enough So They Can Match It
