So last summer I had the rear seal on the trans replaced. The mechanic also aligned the driveline as part of the procedure, mainly because he had to move the engine to get at the rear trans seal. I just recently replaced the shaft log hose/seal. I didn't move the engine to do it. I took the boat out on a test run yesterday and noticed a slight vibration at medium rpm, say 1500-2300 (didn't occur to me to pay close attention). Anyway, after disconnecting the coupler to do the shaft log seal, do I need to re-align the driveline? I'm working under the assumption that since I didn't move the engine/trans to change the shaft log seal, everything should still be aligned.
