Can someone help me identify which part (with part# or link if possible) this is on the back of my powerslot trans?

It has to be pressure or temp sensor of some sort. I'm not real thrilled with the silicon fix and would like to replace. Its in a '95 pro star if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I think you have it right, it is the trans temp switch.

It looks like the updated model has leads.

it looks like the one with silicone is the temperature sensor. the other one should be the neutral safety switch. Interesting that the tranny is different from my 93 slot because the neutral safety switch is on the side on mine.

Table Rocker coming through again! thanks man. I was expecting it to have some sort of a cover or something.

That is weird. Do you happen to have any pictures? The wires have fallen off the connectors on my siliconed sensor, so i'm not sure which one goes where. I'm not sure it even matters???

MattB, is your transmission ZF Hurth? Mayo93prostar, is yours a Borg Warner Velvet Drive? I think the change was made in there somewhere.

I'm actually not positive. I just know it's powerslot trans. I'll double check.

So the other 2-wires (both yellow) neutral cuttoff? Those need to be always snug to engage starter. Had an issue and found loos connection there.

I doubt there is anything wrong with the part. The sealant was probably just used for corrosion/insulation protection. Scrape off the sealant and use shrink tubing or liquid electrical tape with new connectors if that sort of look bothers you.

My 95 slot is the same. The sensor with the black and the tan/blue trace is the sensor for the "Transmission Over Temp" light on the dash. The sensor beside it with the two yellow/red trace wires is the neutral safety switch. Mine came factory with the extra silicon on the wires as well :D. The silicon also keeps the push on connectors from vibrating loose.

It doesn't matter which wire goes on which connector, it's just an open/close switch.

Does yours have the "idiot lights" on the dash? Mine is a Maristar 200VRS.

Plus the silicon gives it an extra 5 HP. :D
