View Full Version : impeller change

I just changed the impeller on my 2000 205V. As many of you know, impeller access is quite limited on the V drives. I came up with this trick to make installing the new impeller easier. In addition to the soapy water, I also used a wide wire tie to compress the blades before insertion. I then pushed it onto the spline and the wire tie just comes off the end as the impeller is moved in. While getting the new one on is not a real big deal, I found this worth the small investment of time in order to eliminate at least one part of the impeller struggle.

Just curious is there a torque spec for the 4 impeller case bolts. Been searching all over and can't find one.

No torque spec that I am aware of. Tight, but not too tight.
