Kinda weird but got the boat out and got it ready earliest time of yr ever. No issues, so we looked at each other on a 84 degree day and said lets try it so we strap on the spring suits and skied all day in 72 degree water. Very very unusual for us in the north central part of AL. How is every one else doing this wknd?

Ice went off the lake yesterday.:woohoo:
My bay is still iced in, but that will probably clear today.
Last year we had one day over 70 degrees in all of March and April. This year we've now had five in a row including three above 80.
Saturday, before the lake opened, we were going to grab the drysuits and try to get out on the river, but it's running a little to high and fast right now.

We went out on the water here in MN yesterday, the air temp was 80 degrees but the water temp was 33 degrees. I couldn't get in, even with a wet or dry suit, my feet went numb.

I had the same thing here in Maine. Air temps yesterday at 78 degrees, water temps must have been down in the mid 30's. There were still ice chunks in the river going from the launch up to the lake. Definitely no water activities for me, yet. I too dunked a foot in the water and it got really cold, really fast.

None of that kept me from hanging out on the lake for about 6 hours yesterday as it was by far the best March day in Maine that I have seen in my 8 years here.:D

Sunday we went out on Lake Lewisville and the water temp varied from 71-75. Went surfing without the wetsuit.

Beginning of March we went out and I wore a full wetsuit. Water was 60-62.
