Hey,

I'm selling a 2010 Regal 2100 Anniversary Edition.

http://nmi.craigslist.org/boa/2887618717.html

I'm interested in buying an '04-'06 X-Star.

I realize the majority of the members here would have no interest in a different
manufacturer. :)

Maybe there is a dealer here who has a buyer for the Regal and an X-Star they
would like to sell - priced in the low $40ks.

The Regal is fast, looks great, is an awesome all around boat for tubing, skiing and
basic wakeboarding.

After buying the Regal we spent most of the time wakeboarding and now it's time
to try wakesurfing.

Thanks,

David

Honest advice, if your looking to wake surf and aren't at least an intermediate wakeboarder, the Xstar isn't the boat for you. If I were looking to get into a lot of wakesurfing with a serviceable wakeboard wake I would be looking for a 06-07 X2. Easier to pull, much better surf wake, more room in the cockpit, and easier to drive. This coming from a guy that's looking for an Xstar.

The X2 is a pretty good all around surf and wake boat I must say.........

An '06-'07 X-30 would make a better wakesurf machine. The X-star is ok too, but the pocket is a bit short (I own one)

You're best bet is to broker your boat with a good dealer, or sell it yourself. Craigslist is ok, but boattrader.com would get you more serious buyers than craigslist. Or try E-bay.

Great advice - thanks guys!

I have spoken with Action Water Sports. Great guys, looked at one of their X-Stars.
They're willing to broker my boat, but not able to make the sale/trade at this time.

Our boat is currently listed on the Regal Owners Forum, Craig's List, BoatTrader and
eBay Classified.

The photos are also public on PicasaWeb.Google.com/ so they will show up when I
buyer is searching Google for 2010 Regal 2100 or even Regal 2100.

I'll look closer at the x2s and x30s.

Thanks!

David

For wakesurf, wakeboarding and tubing, any other suggestions besides
the X-2 and X-30s in the <$45k?

I'm new to Mastercraft, why one model vs. the others helps me out too.

CardenFam posted a Gorgeous X-2. The price range looks good...
I still own a boat and my wife doesn't want to make payments on 2
of them. ;)

X1 is a great boat also. I've wakeboarded and surfed behind a few of those and they are great for both. Couldn't comment on the tubing.

Whatever MC you choose, you will not regret switching to an inboard.

I'm definitely getting an education here.

Any suggestions for site/page that breaks down the best
boat for different types of use? Like wakeboarding, wakesurfing,
tubing, skiing, etc.?

Hopefully, it explains the why behind it.

you're on the right site for the info. lots of stuff available through the search engine. for <45K you could get into a early X45 or an 06+ X30. they won't be ski boats, but will give good surf and wakeboard wakes. the X2 is a bit more versatile and obviously smaller.

Listen to these peeps David! If you're gonna wakesurf, then by all means, stay away from the X-star. That boat is good for 2 things! picking up women and wakeBOARDING! Hull design is not conducive to wakesurfing at all. That X-2 that's for sale here is THE boat for you! I had an 07-X2 and it was PERFECT for everything you're wanting in a boat. Its got PLENTY of room, Storage, runs great in rough water, better fuel consumption, and will help pick up a babe every now & then!:D
BTW, you've got a typo in your ad on your boat. You forgot the word 'CAN' in the 2010 2100 line.:o
Looks like Action Water Sports has plenty of inventory of X-2's and X-14V's too. You considered trading?

Thanks SkiDog!

Fixed my ad so it reads right.

I showed my 14yo your comment about the X-Star. He says it's perfect! Chicks and
wakeboarding! Can't get any better than that! Good thing he still needs me to drive. :)

Action Water Sports has some gorgeous boats. They are willing to take my boat in
a trade, but financing the spread on a new boat would be a tough one.

Hopefully, someone reading this forum has a gently used X-2, X-30, etc. and
the ability/interest in making a trade.

X2 is a great boat. Look at the X15 too. It does everything as good or better as the X2.

I love the look of the pickle fork and the added seating.

I saw that. Very nice boat.

Still need a buyer for mine unless he wants to trade.
