View Full Version : Haven't been around much....

Just wanted to update some of the members from my past.....

On July 1st, I received Emergency Temporary Custody of my son (then 13y/o)
On February 23rd, it was finalized. (now 14 y/o)

On top of that and equally important.... We received Court Ordered Family Counseling
I'd been trying to get that since 2004!
Now, once counseling begins.... I can start getting my relationship back with my 16 year old daughter without her mother trying to "control" that too.

Son starts for school football & basketball.... finished each season undefeated.
he's into 4th. baseball game of season... undefeated so far.

Son's coach testified in court that he'd been tardy 63 times for 2010-2011 school year. (first hour P.E.)
It wasn't in grade book or school records, because he disciplines tardiness by running, and the school would double-discipline tardiness with detention.
She only thought she was getting away with it.

That is great to hear. The system really doesn't like to go against it's own unwritten rules. Nice to see it working for you.

I have an ex that works agains all common sence and a 14 y/o as well. Mine tried to take my son out of state. That little fight only cost 30K. I won, but was scared I was going to lose my son and any chance he had at a normal life. That was 3 years ago, and it does take it's toll on everybody. Sounds like you are on track and he is involved. Keep up the good work, it is a lot of work, but what else is worth the dedication and work more than your kid? You and I could tell a tale that few would believe I bet.
