I got some budgetary estimates from a local upholstery shop. This guy does great work but $$$! $1,000 to do just the back bench and I wouldn't have the original star on it.
Can I get the original skins from MC for a 93? I think that the padding is holding up very well but the stitching is beginning separate. My other concern is that If I do just one piece, the other seat and motor cover won't match.

It sounds a little high to me. I would shop around some more. I paid around $1500 for the entire interior.

Or you could just sell your boat to me, I would love to have a 93 Red S&S!

MC can still have the skins made in the original material for your boat. $1000 for that one skin is an eye gouge. Either they think they're the best upholstery shop around or they don't really want to do it and giving you such a high price was their way of telling you. Talk to a dealer and get your best price.

Jim, do I need to go through a dealer or can I order them direct? Power, you already have a great looking special S&S!

MC and most other manufacturers don't sell or ship directly to customers, so you need to go through a dealer.

I just bought a mastercraft rear bench bottom skin for my '95, and it was about $200 from BAWS in tampa.
