Well after buying the boat last year i finally had a reason to buy a new truck. I sold my 2001 Tacoma in all of 20 hours. The little truck pulled the boat fine but Iwanted something bigger so here she is.. 2010 Tundra DC, 5.7L, SR5, TRD, 4x4.. I think it will get the job done. I pick it up tomorrow :D

I'd say she'll get the job done. Throw some 20s on it, dual exhaust, tinted windows and a billet grille, you will have yourself one fine looking rig. Not to say that it isn't already.

Another vote for the Tundra. It does a great job as a tow vehicle.

Great looking truck! I wish I had bought the white. Very clean.

+1 for the Tundra being a tow monster! My '11 crewmax rock warrior pulls our 214 like there's nothing even there.

I have a 2006 Maristar 215. Makes a great all around, family boat. I do plan to put a tower on it in the near future.

I don't have picture with the boat on the Tundra but you'll get the point.

I don't. Ha! Maybe 50% agree. IMHO billet grills and dual exhaust is a bit played.

I had FlowMaster exhaust on my Dodge when I first bought it and it droned really bad on the highway when pulling the boat. It was terrible on long trips with the boat. Forums recommended a quieter DynoMax exhaust which I bought but it did the same thing just a little quieter and pretty much just as irritating. I ended up finding someone on CraigsList to trade the Dynomax exhaust for a stock exhaust + $100 and have been happy with it ever since.

I have to vote for the Rock Warrior as well, only in white for me. The Tundra is a great truck, you will love it. The 5.7l motor is awesome.

I'll add this question for the Tundra owners here. I've search TundraSolutions, too.

Anyone have any problem with squeaky brakes? My truck has 20k on it and is a little less than 3 years old and the brakes are already squeaking. I haven't pulled the wheels off to check the pads, but it almost sounds like I need new brakes already.

Well I picked the truck on Saturday afternoon... I love and I cant wait to hook the boat up to it. And other than seat covers I think I'll leave this truck pretty stock.. it has everything I need and then some.

Thanks

I guess I'm bias to a louder truck. My old 94 silverado had no muffler, and it was loud when I pulled my 16' stock trailer and 2 horses but I loved it. I have an 05 duramax now with a catback 4" mufflered exhaust and I will be getting a dp back straight 4" soon. I like the low tone of the 5" but it drones really bad when towing so I will stick with a 4".

The Tundra is more like a 3/4 ton than a half ton right?

I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra Crewmaxx T-Force Edition, I absolutly love it.

The one problem I have is that a leaf got into my heater blower and has been stuck there since fall. I have tried to pull out the blower motor but after I took apart the dash, and everything under it, I found a cross member that I really didn't want to mess with.

I have about 23,000 miles on it now and have yet to have any (knock on wood) major problems. Just a few smaller ones that the dealer here took care of.

And yes, My truck is COMPLETELY stock. It came from the factory like you see. It was made right here in the U.S., the plant in San Antonio Texas.
