I have an o6 X2 with a JL system that includes 4 cockpit speakers, a sub, and two tower speakers all running of an M6600 amp. I would like to add another amp as people here have done in order to up the sound. Would it be possible to accomplish this by adding a clarion XN3410? It is a 4 channel with 165 watts cont. x 4 at 2 ohms, 90 at 4 ohms, and 330 x 2 bridged at 4 ohms. My idea is to run the tower speakers bridged off 4 channels from the JL amp plus one set of cockpit speakers on their own channels and then run the sub using the 330 bridged from the clarion and the other set of cockpit speakers on the other 2 channels. Does this make sense. The reason I want to use a clarion amp is that I have had one for years and they are great plus it is half the price of a JL amp.

So you want to run half of the interior speakers off one amp and the other half of the interior speakers off the other? That doesn't really make sense to me.
I would probably run the tower speakers off the xn3410 bridged. Then give each of the 4 cockpit speakers their own channel on the m6600 and bridge the other 2 channels for the sub.

Is it bad to have them on separate amps? My reasoning is that, if I did it your way. the sub would get the same amount of power it gets now and I would like to push some more to it (the bridged clarion would be pushing 330 to the sub while the JL only pushes 150)

So you are going to bridge 2 of the m6600 channels to push 200w to each tower speaker then push 75w to 2 of the cockpit speakers. Then you want to bridge 2 of the channels off the xn3410 to push 330w to the sub and 90w to the other two interior speakers.
Do you know the model number of the JL sub you have? The M10IB5 can handle 250w rms, but the M10IB3 can only handle 175w rms.
I don't know all of the specs of your speakers, but you could probably get away with an xn3210 instead. I would just use it to run the tower speakers, then run the interior speakers and the sub off of the m6600. I've never really been that impressed with the stock JL subs in mastercrafts. I can't imagine that throwing another 150w at it would make it sound much better.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm not sure which JL, it's whatever came stock. I just figured that its currently only getting 150 watts? which seems like very little for a sub. However, if it wouldn't make a difference then I would definitely prefer to save the hundred bucks and use a 3210.
The 3210 150 watts x 2 at 2 ohms. Is that what I would get to the tower speakers running the config your describing?
Thanks for the help by the way. Really appreciate it.

I misread the specs on the 3210. The tower speakers are 4ohm, so you would only be getting 90w to each tower speaker. I think you would want 150w-200w going to each tower speaker.
