I've had it for 2 years, ran it maybe only 10 hours in that time due to me having a new son and him taking most my time. The hull is fine (maybe a minor spiderweb here or there), and i believe the previous owner told me it was completely reworked while in his possession. It's got a 351 Cleveland and was completely overhauled in 2002 (have receipts). It's got a custom built teak swim platform, nice stereo, mp3 hook-up, one new dual gauge (the other works too), it purrs (or roars), and pulls perfectly. The seats are perfect too. The trailer is original but redone with new wiring and stainless fasteners. It's got a waterproof cover and i've also kept it tarped, heated, and winterized every winter. This thing turns heads and gets people talking. I've got a 6 ft aluminum wakepole with it too.

It's killing me to sell it, but my new son makes it hard for me to enjoy it as someone should.

Basically it's good to go. The title's clean and signed and the only thing i gotta do is transfer it to my name (haven't done it yet due to the unexpected pregnancy setting me back).

$7,000 OBO
Austin, TX area.

PM if seriously interested and i'll go get the title changed to my name...thanks.

Great looking boat. That is most likely powered by a 351 Windsor...........not a Cleveland. Would like to see some engine pictures.

The MC guys were putting in all sorts of engines in those days. I suspect it had something to do with cash flow and which supplier was giving them credit at the time. A 351 Cleveland would sure fit, and in Cobra Jet form would make for serious power. BadA$$ might be an understatement.

A 351c will have 351M/400 heads on it.

If you got a pic to post we can tell you real quick!

That's awesome if it does! The 351c is a better motor than the 351w IMO.

Quick way to tell would be there are 6 valve cover bolts on a 351W and 8 valve cover bolts on a 351C.

Actually the 351C production run ended before the 351M started, so that isn't entirely accurate. Just sayin'

Sorry, My Bad!

I thought they were in production at the sametime.

But you get my point!

That I do. Just a little MCOCD leaking out.

The Cleveland was a fantastic performance engine, whereas the 351M/400 was just OK. Because it was also larger and heavier than a true small block, the power to weight ratio wasn't great. As they were designed during an attempt to clean up emissions and reduced performance, they were never produced in a performance version. No 4 barrel....no 4 bolt mains.....nothing. The 400's were worse because they made the water jackets too thing and they were prone to cracking. I did have a 351M in a 79 F150 short-box step-side 4X4 that I had lifted and built. It had Edelbrock Performer intake and cam, Holley 750, headers and dual exhaust. All the rest of the goodies from the day - roll bar, push bar, KC lights everywhere.

Your son (and any future kids) will have you tied up in sports the rest of their childhood, why not make skiing one of those sports? It will make for some great memories. I had both of my sons standing on the skis with me when they were in diapers.

Unless you just donít want a classic MasterCraft. :D
