I want to add a heater hose quick connect to the 5/8 inch hose that runs to my heater core. Ive been searching online and all I can find are regular hose fittings that aren't rated for 160 degree water. This is on an 02 x30 with LTR. Any suggestions. Thanks.

I think an air or hydraulic connect would work fine for the hose, but not the heater. These heaters are known for needing more flow, especially at low rpm. The restrictions of a quick connect would make matters much worse.

As always, I could be wrong.

I used regular QD couplings from Home Depot, made for garden hoses in the hose/sprinkler department.

They are aluminum, and doubt they will melt in 160 deg water.

I did both sides of heater line and my shower line.

I have also heard of folks using these:

YMMV.
