This is a black bimini off of my 2008 197 TT. It's in great condition. It's only been used a hand full of times. I'm asking $300 for a buyer close somewhat close to Dayton Ohio...add shipping if your not. If you want additional pictures just let me know. Thanks for looking!

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to ship this thing? It doesn't come apart except for the little legs. Am I going to have to ship this thing using a freight company or can I still us something like UPS?

i would wrap in bubble wrap or if it will fit, a flat screen TV box. You can ship Fed Ex or UPS but they are going to add a handling charge if not in a box. I was quoted btw $100-$125 to ship mine from Iowa to Ohio w/o box.

If I recall, you may be able to come in just under the size limits for ground shipping via FedEx or UPS. I had shipped one a while back and had to creatively remodel the box in order to get it under the size limit. For what it's worth, I used a shipping box that a swim platform had come in, to give you an idea of what you may need to work with. Otherwise, as was indicated above, shipping loose will incur additional charges as well. If all else fails, LTL may be your only other option.

I talked with UPS and they quoted me $228 with the dimentions that I gave them. They said that it had to go via freight. That was without a box. There was an additional cost if they had to box it up of course. No Skeeze, I just got off the phone with a shipping company and they quoted me at $268. Might just have to meet the guy halfway if he doesn't want to pay the shipping. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Try your nearest body shop for a box that car fenders come in. Then try FedEx for a quote.

I posted earlier that the bimini was sold. The buyer backed out because he didn't want to buy the attachment points for his boat. So...still for sale! ;D

When I bought my used MC OEM bimini (all stainless steel), it came wrapped in several connected boxes, like pipe insulation...
this bimini has shorter legs due to tower mount.
weight was 24 lbs.
I am pretty sure it made it on UPS ground, not freight.
dimensions 72" x 35" x 5"
this "package" arrived with no damage !!!
I know it looks shotty, but it worked...

I never thought about that! I think the legs on mine are what's pushing me close to the size required for freight. Thanks for the idea!
