My cup holder piece was busted up around the rim like many have been. I decided to try my hand at making one. Since I'm not any good with forming plastics, I decided to build it out of wood. Positive and negative comments are welcomed.

Thanks for the compliments. I finally gave up on trying to find a used one that wasn't busted.

I gotta give credit to 363coupe for doing this. I've decided I would build myself one and a few others have asked about me doing them one too. So I cut my pattern, and got it to match perfectly to the broken plastic one in my boat. The plastic one was prewired for LEDS but never hooked up. I'm trying to configure a way to do this on the new ones, WITHOUT having any water intrusions into the motor area. It appeared to me that the original one would let water into the motorbox. I'll get that figured out soon, I hope. They are glued together and then predrilled and screwed with stainless steel. screws Here's my pics of fabrication so far. I haven't decided on a price yet, but will be glad to make some extras and sell them if anybody wants one. I can sell them already covered or you can cover them yourself. These are ONE PIECE units, so covering them might be a little tricky, but we'll see. I will urethane them to seal them before upholstering it. Should last a long time. Again, thanks to 363COUPE for starting this!

Eddie, mom will take care of it. She just wants you to give great detail of what you want. Also to make pencil markets on the fabric of where the letters need to go.

I would send Kyle a PM, and yes, his username is Kyle.... He can price it up for you. And you can dip it in any pattern.

Do a search on your search engine of preference for a local service. These hydro-graphic dip shops are plentiful. These two popped up in a jiff for my local area.......
