I think I want to sell my 2007 X1 as the kids have grown. It is currently in storage and is winterized. Prior to posting on Boat Trader or Only Inboards or Craig's List, I wanted to give my fellow TT members a shot at it. Based on my research, the boat should be valued around $37K-$38K. This is NOT the $39,999 X1 that Mastercraft was advertising in 2006 and 2007 so don't try to compare it to that boat. I don't have to sell this boat so serious inquiries only.

Here are the specs:

2007 Mastercraft X1
107 hours
RTP Engine
MasterCruise Speed Control
Factory Ballast (two rear hard tanks - no center tank)
Clarion head unit w/ CD & MP3 adapter and drivers side remote
iPod interface
JL Audio cockpit speakers
(2) JL Audio Tower Speakers
JL AMP for Tower Speakers
Swivel Board/Ski Racks
Tower Braces
Tower mirror
Mastercraft Bimini Top
Towable Mastercraft Cover (black)
Teak swim platform (w/ transom saver)
Single Axle Black Mastercraft trailer (w/ spare) and Swing Away Trailer Tongue
Driver’s side Bolster Seat
Always stored indoors

The oil has always been changed at the beginning of each season along with the impellar. It is winterized each year along with engine fogging and fuel treatment.

Full and documented maintenance records. One owner. Excellent Condition. Boat is located in Louisiana.

Having trouble posting pics on my computer at work so email if you are serious.

Looks like a very nice boat that is always desirable and should be more desirable now that it has been retired. Since you mention it, what are the options that differentiate it from the 39,999? Gel scheme, tower speakers and amp, bimini, cover...I'm not busting chops, I just don't know what was optional from the price point boat.

John:

I know you are not busting chops. MC had, and advertised, a sub $40K boat in 2006 and early 2007. From what I have seen (via the original ads and X1's for sale on the internet), they had the old tower, no racks, no ballast, no bimini, no cover, no stereo, lower end trailer (i.e. no swing away tongue), etc. I am not sure if it had speed control or not. My dealer gave me a list of the differences when I went to purchase mine but cant find the list.

Here, for example, is a pic of one with the older trailer:

and here is one with the old tower:

Yea, I've heard about the 39,999 price point, but didn't know how they stripped it out. The plan wasn't very successful is also what I remember. By the time I was ordering an '08 all the X boats (X1 included) came standard with ballast, stereo, amp, sub, 6 speakers, driver's bolster, speed control, and I don't know what else. Even the gel or decal scheme looks different and cheaper.

Don't take this as gospel, but from one I looked at previously:
I believe they had ballast still.
The dash had no billet.
Single axle trailer, had a roller, no buddy, and no pivot.
Single color gel.
Believe it had stereo but no tower speakers.
Very basic interior colors.

Those swivel board racks are an expensive option for sure. My buddy's X-1 had the cheaper non-swivel racks with bungees.

Bobx1, are you getting a different boat?

Not sure what I am going to do Dave. Kid number 1 is now married and possibly moving out of state. Kid number 2 is away at college and works in the summer. Kid number 3 is in summer football workouts most of the time. I bought a new party barge last summer and still have a jet ski but may get another MC at some point. Just not using it enough.

What is the difference between the trailers? The one you posted has terrible white rims, but other than that it looks the same as your trailer, and my 2003 x-2 trailer.

Isn't the tower in the 2nd post the standard 2005-2006 tower?

I was told the sub 40k boat did not have swing away tongue and maybe some other items. The other boat I linked to was an example of a new tower with fixed racks. Trying to give examples of old tower, fixed racks, old trailer, etc. I think ksdaoski's list is correct but for some reason I thought ballast and stereo was an option and not included.

Great looking boat... Love the color scheme. Being an X1 owner myself... these boats are worth every penny. Weighted properly they can produce an exceptional wake any pro wouldn't care one bit to ride behind. The asking price seems right on spot as well. Lot's of nice extra's and very well kept. Good luck with the sale! :D

How much work is it to lower these towers? We go under two lowbridges on the way to the lake, and wondering if it would be too much of a hassle or not. Also, any trouble with the height of hitting your head when walking around, I am 6'. Like the boat, just never been in one with the tower and not familiar with them.

Great looking boat, I hope you get every dime possible.

After just coming back from the local boat show and looking at $90k for a new X2, $3x,xxx is a value!

I'd be interested, but you getting every dime possible is not in my best interests! I'm currently looking in the 20-30k range.

Good luck

Not yet. Had it on hold for a guy for 2 weeks but he could not come up with the funding.

Is the boat sold and gone now?

Not really...ha ha.

I quit fooling around with selling it after the last guy could not get funding and am fixing to have it "summerized" so we can start using it. If you are really serious then I will consider selling it.

If the price is right I would be...I am looking for a boat at the moment. But Baton Rouge is quite the drive.

Do you have a bottom dollar price? What would you need to sell it?

What is the most you are willing to pay? :D

If you are serious then PM me to discuss as I don't think I want negotiate on a public forum.
