View Full Version : Steam from exhaust?

This morning air temp was about 60 and I seem to have a lot of steam from the exhaust.....I really notice it when its 40...just wondering if this is normal or is water in getting in some where it shouldnt?
All you need to make "steam" is water that's warmer than the air temp. The exhaust hits the water that cools the exhaust and warms immediately. If you run it on the trailer and only see steam, that's a problem.

Jim what would steam on the trailer mean?
and boy do I wish you were my neighbor....I'd buy the beer, keep the tunes on and hand you wrenches! :worthy:
You'll still get steam on the trailer if it's cold enough. I meant if you get only steam. That tells you that your impeller is shot or the water isn't going out the exhaust. Then you'll get smoke, too. From the heat of the exhaust cooking the exhaust hoses, mufflers and flaps.
