So i lost my only key. What's the cheapest/easiest way to deal with this issue?

Should i call a locksmith, or just replace the ignition? Is replacing the ignition (is it called 'ignition' or 'ignition switch' or something else?) an easy task?
It's easy to get to- nothing really in the way.

Surely replacing it wouldn't require any timing adjustments, right?

Thanks guys.

replaced the ignition switch on our PS195 last year, came with 2 new keys and took less than 10 min

You can pick up a three position ignition switch at most any boat dealer.

Just make sure the threaded part of the switch is long enough to go through the dash. I think it is about 7/8" on my '77.
