Yep, Deejay, who had it in SoCal. Also, I believe the L18 was upped to 450 hp in 2002 (may be wrong on the exact year but I'm almost sure by 06 it had the 450).

Hello all,

I can't believe the attention this boat is getting, but I'm truly enjoying it! Yes, this boat was owned by a family in SoCal, but used only on Lake Havasu. They were the original owners and I am now the second. I stand corrected it does have 450HP not 425HP... Sorry for not listing price on this ad, I hate when people do that I will put it on there thx. As of a few days back I have listed this Xstar in multiple places such as Portlands Craigslist and Only In Boards. If you want to see MORE and better quality pictures of the interior and exterior please check out my ad on "CL."

Boat speaks for itself, its in pristine condition.
I will pay for shipping for anyone out of state...
Priced to sell at $47,500.

Question, should I remove the Xstar decals on the hull and give it a clean look? What are peoples thoughts? I think the boat shows its age with the older decals, any responses are appreciated.

I'm not a fan of the tribal stuff but I could be in the minority.

Heck, I only waterski and can't really wakeboard so I guess I'm old fashion. :)

Sharp looking boat though. Kinda Oregon colors too (Beavers). You might get some good luck in Tennessee!

I wouldn't mess with it... Leave it as is. The closer to factory the better from a resale perspective.

just my opinion.

I don't think that's the original decal nor the chrome lettering on the transom.
The gray on the side and transom my not be original as well.
sure would like to know either way, looks nice in 06 MC had the graffiti decal

PICKLEFORK

Ya, they are aftermarket decals on the side of the hull. I just had the "3D" 36'' chrome decal put on the transom. They gray is under the gel coat and is stock.

Great boat, fair price and the icing on the cake is the free shipping! You should sell this one with no problem with the big block in it. The only reason I dumped my previous boat was so I could get my hands on an Xstar with 450 horses. They are relatively rare and certainly a mean combo!

Oregon State University Established 1868. In 1890 Orange was adopted as the school color, with black as the background.

Oklahoma State Established 1890. In 1908, Victor Herbert was inadvertently responsible for a deeply entrenched facet of A&M athletic tradition, the waving song, which established Orange and Black (then the Tigers, knocking off Princeton).

I'm throwing out another great idea to sweeten the deal...

If you are truly interested in purchasing a slightly used boat and there is nothing for sale where you live, I will pay for your plane ticket to fly out and look at the boat and pay for the shipping cost to get it to your home. This offer only stands if you buy the boat!

Don't get it twisted I'm not going to prepay for plane tickets. I will reimburse your expenses once you have looked over the boat and we sign off on the Bill of Sale paperwork.

ANY TAKERS...

Yes this was my boat and don't pay the asking price, he did not pay anything near that. I don't mean to sound bitter but I bent over backwards getting the boat ready for him winterizing, cleaning, meeting his transporter etc. because I was proud of the boat and believed it was going to a good home. I had local guys ready to buy, but I honored our agreement on a price and kept a gentlemens agreement. The thing that pisses me off is that after buying and knowing he was flipping the boat he was asking me to throw in any equipment or gear to help out a "New" boat owner.....so all I have to say is.....KARMA'S A *****.....

Its either worth what the seller is asking or its not, the market will decide and the previous price has nothing to do with it.

I agree. I don't think it was appropriate to instruct a potential buyer that he paid nowhere near the price he is asking. In addition the fact u got the boat in great shape for original sale has nothing to do with whether or not he should turn around and sell boat. Unless I am missing something here I realize u might not be pleased but trying to influence his sale price is inappropriate.

I agree...the new owner is entitled to sell the boat for whatever he feels its worth...you got to make your sale without any outside influences.

Fellow Mastercraft Owners:

I bought a Mastercraft from a seller in SoCal with full intentions of using it this year. Apparently the seller is upset at the price I purchased it for and is making false statements about me trying to flip this boat. I purchased it in GOOD FAITH, but found a newer Mastercraft which I desire to purchase. Therefore, I must put this boat on the market. It is an outstanding 2006 X-Star that the seller took excellent care of.

I took the risk of buying this boat sight unseen and paid handsomely to ship it to Oregon. We both agreed upon a sales price that was equitable for each of us. Iím sorry the seller feels this way but it was a mutually agreed upon transaction. I donít need to apologize to anyone regarding this matter, and I donít need to be chastised over making a purchase. I have owned three other Mastercrafts and used them extensively during our short summer seasons. There is always two sides to a story. Hope to see you on the water!

Listen, it was less than 10 days from when the boat left my possession until the time it was posted forsale again, I'm going to call BS on the fact that he bought a new boat, especially for never having driven the boat let alone ever starting it. I just find the timing a little suspect. I do agree with some of you with the fact that "I did sell it and it's his right to sell it". However, "flipping" the boat is what I believe he is doing and I do believe I was mislead. If he has owned other boats, than why ask me to throw in some equipment and or gear.....I would think if he has owned three other boats (Mastercrafts) he should have these things. With that said, I think the facts (IMO) tell a different story. This is all I have to say on the matter, I have said what I felt I need to say, and if I over stepped the boundaries of the "Public Forum" than I'm sorry

PO and seller came to an agreement without their transaction being scrutinized in a public forum. The seller is entitled to do with with HIS property what he wants. I don't think the seller needs to defend himself, but if the seller says he's buying a new boat - who cares. This boat's for sale, make an offer and if he bites, move on with your beautiful new purchase. No need to interject feelings into these threads.
