My rear ballast leaks at the connection, so once you get it to come on check that too!! It sounds like the pump isn't working, mabey a wire is loose. If it was the fuse or breaker I don't think the light would come on. I will try to look at mine when I get home.

have you checked the impeller in the pump ... every so often we have to replace our impellers (smaller version of the impeller in the water pump) ... if the ballast is being emptied and the pump is not turned off when empty, it can run dry for a while and ruin the rubber impeller, if the wings on the impeller are ruined then there is no suction to pump water in or out ... could be an easy fix and you would know right away if the impeller is okay by taking off the cover.

If it dosen't come on at all it wouldn't be the impeller, sounds like the pump just isn't getting power. Just a thought!!! :twocents:

yup, yer absolutely right ... just that the pumps are kinda quite when the impeller is toasted as there is no friction... I'm probably wrong but it seems like we replace a couple a year b/c somebody lets it run a litte too long ... with our (s)old X-9 the first time we thought a pump was bad we took it in and they just replaced the impeller, ever since we have just kept a couple extra ... either way I am interested to know what he finds.

Thanks
I will have to wait to check it out tomorrow night. I decided it would be a little more fun to hit the lake today. I will let you know. Maybe we need to invent a cut off that is built into the ballast so the impellar would not burn up. (HINT,HINT to MC) It is kinda difficult to remember about the ballast when the kids have the stereo wide open.

You were right. The impeller was just toasted. Where else can you get the impellers from besides the dealer. We live about 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta which is the closest dealer. Thanks for your help.
