Does anyone know how much stock ballast the X2 (2011) has and the amount for each tank? I see conflicting numbers on this. I have read or been told anywhere from 650 lbs to 950 lbs. Nothing in the owners manual either. Thanks.

Thought I'd reply but don't quote me...200lbs in each rear tank and 350lbs in KGB (front). I have an 07 X2, I have added the 400lbs fly high in rear lockers all plumbed in plus just fitted the integrated bow sac, manual fill at the moment. I think the bow sac may add 500lbs and with 4 peeps in the boat the wake is solid with a sweet transition and a lip to boot. Real happy with this setup

Thanks for the reply. I have read on this site before that the rear tanks were 200#. Wakemakers told me they were 250# and the dealer told me they were 300#. Just a little confusing. Sounds like you have a sweet setup. I'm happy with the wake for boarding but I'm going to try and improve it for surfing. I'm going to add the 455# rear sac for sure and probably a 370# tube sac on the surfside. I'm just trying to put an exact number to the amount of ballast.

we have the stock ballast plus 450# in rear port side locker and ice chest filled with 175# of weights and just the driver and it is an ok surf wake. Wife free surfs it but not enough push for me so still have to hang on. i guess i just need more weight or bigger board.

i think the 200 lb in each rear is correct. i also have the fly high x2 rear ballast bags on top of the tanks. i added the surf sac last year when it's just a friend and i at the lake... wow

I can't believe know one has the answer to this... Prior to the increase total was 550#, 250# KGB and 150# in each rear, so the 200# number for the rears sounds correct but it could be 250#, I do not think the KGB has any more room to increase, but I have not looked at new ones to notice.

The 250# in each rear makes sense, this would give you 750# total weight. The X2 for wakeboarding anyway likes and does very well with a 60 rear to 40 front ratio.

My set up is stock, 425# filled to 75-80% capacity in the rears, KGB full and a 350# center if we are 5 or less people in the boat.

Where did you install the surf sac, the L shape has me confused unless it sits on the rear seat area. Does anyone use the portable 150# little fat sacs?

i just put it on top of the seat. oh and you have to remember to take out the ice chest if you want a beer before filling it up!:D

I emailed Mastercraft about this and according to one of their tech guys the kgb is 250# and each of the rear tanks is 150#. A little surprised it's not more and that this info isn't listed somewhere like the owners manual.

What year is your X-2? Newer X-2 have bigger tanks in the rear!

Did you just piggy back the fly high sacs and if so how did you deal with the 07 6 min timers ? I've plumbed in the rear sacs and will be doing the bow this spring but I haven't dealt with the timers yet, debating by passing or buying three timers but they seem to be $100.00 bucks each. Any input will be appreiated thanks.

Talked to wakemakers today. They said the rear tanks are 250# and kgb 400# for sure. They said on 2003 and older they were 150# and 250# respectively. Said they keep info on all the makes and models and the guy I talked to told me he has a Mastercraft also.

The rear sacs are plumbed in, and with the 6 min timers will fill the sac maybe 80%. If I need the sacs full I will manually fill, I set up the fittings to do this easily. The bow sac is not plumbed in and manually filled using Tsunami pump. For me this system works easily enough and not too much pain, couldn't justify $100 a timer either

How many lbs are the '12 tanks? Can you install the three way valve fly high kit (without factory PnP) in the '12's? I heard the bow sac is two bricks now...:(

I believe stock tanks for '12 are also 900 pounds. The timers went away for 2012, and originally, you had no way to run the factory pumps longer. The latest software update is supposed to allow your dealer to calibrate your pumps to run longer if you have extra bags. I haven't gotten the software yet. I got one of the first 2012 models. I ordered the fly high kit and quickly discovered that the the one bow sac no longer worked. Wakemakers was unaware of the change. I had the V drive sacs that I used to use in my 02 X Star, so I plumbed them up front. I just T'ed them together. Here's some pictures and hose lengths of what I did.

Also, I've never weighed what I can get with the two sacs up front, but it's not a huge amount. I also throw a bow triangle sac up front if I don't have a lot of people in the boat.

Are that sacks up front fill completly?

My front sacs do not fill completely. The back portion does, but up under the seat, the hull cuts off a lot of volume. I also don't know how the V drive sacs I used compare to what the new fly high kit includes. I haven't seen the new separate front bags that are mentioned above.

I see you have a wrap in your picture of your X2. Got a better picture?

Kudos to the guys at wakemakers.com I was considering a custom sac for my X2 for surfing, which would have been pretty expensive. After some conversations with them about this they recommended the gravity games center sac (1180#) because it would be close in weight and dimensions to what I needed but was hundreds less. Thanks guys!
