Screws included? Jsut cuious....

I'll get you dimensions for my wheel's bolt pattern tomorrow. Thank you. Looks nice and unique. No one will appreciate having one until their plastic is whacked. Nice touch for looks.

And this offer will not last forever... :D

cloaked,
no i did not really think about the bolts those are the ones that were existing on my steering wheel but i can look into the cost of the right ones in stainless.
agarabaghi,
it is still cheaper than anything else you can get for your boat, i think we all can agree on that.

Best bet is to use this thread for further information and let the other one die, or get one of the powerful mods to merge, or close....

Thanks for the kind offer.... I look forward to a new gadget....

chunter - how do you want the measurements for the 5 bolt patter of this steering wheel. the center hole measures 2 3/16 and the distance between screws 1 11/16. But that is measured with cheap tape measure.

Hey cloaked what do you recommend for dimensions on the 5 screw configuration - here's the manufacturer info on the grant steering wheel.

http://64.60.165.189/c-198-how-to-buy.aspx i believe my model is the 3651

Wow that looks great. how do i get you the measurement or does any one know for a 2001 mastercraft x-10?

Cloaked
12-24-2011, 11:42 AM
I would suggest treating it like a tire-wheel hole pattern and measure across on the applicable distances.

I think most of these steering wheels are made to a particular standard for fit. Just a matter of how the rest of the wheel is configured.

That's a good diagram...

Wow that looks great. how do i get you the measurement or does any one know for a 2001 mastercraft x-10?He's got an e-mail address in one of two threads (of which the power mods should merge) to send dimensions, requests, etc....

Again, I think most dimensions will be similar or the same. He doesn't care. One of his posts ( http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showpost.php?p=807823&postcount=1 ) said send in what you need and he can make it.

Just make sure you provide enough info for the configuration of the plate. I'm just looking at the 5 bolt hole pattern (dimensionally).

If the OP request that his appearance thread to be merged with his sale thread to the for sale forum it will be done.

They both serve a purpose. Showing the appearance of the new cover, and one for selling them. But if he ask I'm sure none of the mods would have issue with filling the request.

Looks sharp! To take it a step further you could anodize the center black to match the wheel.
Or if you have say red gauges for example, maybe anodize the center red to match those!

when i get to work on tuesday i will post up a form that can be filled out with areas that can be filled in to indicate the dimensions that you need and with some contact info that you can fill out so i know who and what i am sending.

chunter

i thought about anodizong and then cutting the logo so it is different than the main plate and stands out but that will cost alot more as that would be really trickey to make sure that i dont scratch it or mess it up in any way while on the mill.

i know it might not be that easy but i wint it to be dead on. i am going to need really close dimensions befor i make anything since the bolt is countersunk it needs to be right so it does not tweak anything on install.

that is why i got the logo off of the internet and it did not have a trademark logo or watermark. i would really hope that a company would not want to want to go down that road with something so minimal as this. i know in my company anyone is welcome to use the logo for anything pertaining to theyr operation as long as it in a good light. scegaskets.com

I'm out...lol... There's no way I can measure that precisely... I will just have to be envious..

ok i will make this really simple for you all on the 5 bolt ones.
1. center hole dimension diameter
2. bolt hole dimension diameter
3 distance between center hole and bolt hole at nearest piont
imagine drawing a line from the center of the steering wheel hole to the center of a bolt hole and where that line intersects the edges of the holes is where i need the dimension and i can do the rest from there.

chunter
12-28-2011, 09:02 PM

well it is becoming odvious that i need to get back to the mill and make the 5 bolt. i have not done it yet because it takes about a full day to program and get right for production. but i have the material and i will get on it as soon as i can. it may take a week or two but i will get it done. what is the orientation on the 5 bolt pattern? single bolt on top or bottom.
