Just wanted to vent a bit. I bought my MC about 3 weeks ago, and thought i would have no problem finding covered storage for it. Well i was wrong, with 3 lakes within 25 miles from home i thought i would have my pick. All I can find is open/leantoo rv storage, for a boat&trailer my size. I am thinking about taking it to a local marina and they will stow the boat in a shelf but will have to put my trailer in a boneyard. This would be ok if i didnt want to work on the boat on nice days this winter. Oh well i will find something, and the most important thing is i found a good boat, everything else will follow!! Have a good one![COLOR=Red] :D

I keep my boat in the garage at home all summer and in a cave all winter. Not too convenient for winter projects as the winter storage arrangement has limited access but it has to work for now.

I keep mine inside an 70 degree garage all winter. (NOT MINE) I keep my garage at about 40 with the engine block heater plugged in. Its perfect for working on it, the only downside is its the garage is only about 1 foot taller than the tower when its folded down. So it still kind of a chore to work on anything having to hunch over. But makes short work for cleaning. I have no complaints, I just hope they never move!! That would suck to have to keep it in my own garage.

Mine is in my garage, too. Who was it that built that nice little backyard cover for his boat? There were some good pictures here once.

Mag is the guy who built the nice storage

I thought so, but couldn't remember exactly. Thanks, Brandon.

Mag's was nice but the prize goes to Chris (ProStar 19). He built a sweet add on garage just to house his 2003 PS 197 Anniversary. It had fans, shelves, everything. The guy probably has 60-70k$ in the boat and the garage. But, hey if you're gonna do it, do it right. He sure did!! :worthy:

Is your storage problem a result of a tower? Will folded help you at all?

Storage is the biggest problem of owning a boat in my view. I'm stuck with my boat outside this summer, was under cover last summer. My winter storage will be nice this year as I found out a friend's "garage" that he offered, it is heated, cooled, humidity controlled, and good security. It's the size of a small football stadium! He has 3 fire engines and 8-10 special cars in half of it. My trailer is in the back half with the tractors and other work machines now.

Just keep asking around!

I'm blessed. My Brother-In-Law owns a farm so I get free indoor heated storage for my boat and camper. It's a little out of the way when I need my trailer or camper but the alternative sucks!

I keep mine in the barn at our farm. I used to try the garage but it is a pain to fold the tower down.

Im still looking and will find something before the cold hits. I am in the process of installing a tower, it will fold down and should be lower than the winshield so hopefully that wont be a problem, thanks for the feedback. [COLOR=Red] :)
