Well, I got my new bimini today. I was worried that I wouldn't really like the looks of the boat with the top, but I love it. I checked all the online options, etc., and then I had it custom done at a local shop. They did a great job.

I guess I will get rid of the T-top. Any offers?

Looks great!

Now go scrub your trailer tires and take some pictures of the girl in the boat for the swimsuit thread.

Ok, ok, ok...look, I launch every day right below our house, and it's a really muddy ramp. I'm anal about the boat, but I figure that the trailer is meant to get dirty.

Dammit - now I'm going out to wash the whole rig.

By the way, whatever happened to a group buy on MC trailer guide pads?

Ya know, I'd rather spend my time with the boat on the water than foaming trailer tires after every outing. Cut the guilt, leave the tires, and enjoy the boat.

The bimini looks great. I am curious how much it set you back.

Yeah, I figure that I'd rather be skiing than cleaning.

The sunbrella bimini with hardware was $400 installed. Other local places were around $750. Online seemed a bit cheaper, but I wasn't sure I'd get exactly what I wanted.

The top looks great. My wife wants one for our boat but I'm not too sure. I'm sure she will win in the end, though.

Absolutely a beauty! You will wonder why it took you so long to get the bimini. I'd be fried without ours.

how many yards of material did you need?
what type thread did you use?
did they make the boot/cover also?

I know you had it done, but I figure you might know these details.
my hardware is in great shape, but the previous owner used a Johnson Vinyl bimini material, and I'd like to switch to sunbrella. so I'm trying to find out how much sunbrella I'll need

That reverse gel coat is pretty! I don't think I have ever seen the red like that on an older boat.

I didn't like the thought of a bimini either until I had to get one for the kids. But it has been worth it's weight in gold this summer. I have apologized to my wife for not getting one sooner. (man I hate having to do that)

My tires probably look so crappy. I miss my boat. Hopefully, when the kiddo arrives, my father-in-law will bring it with him so I can grace my garage with its presence once again.

Hey I had my boat outside for a couple of days to clean it up after vacation. It was actually a tremendous source of anxiety for me to not have it inside.

Pulled it in last night just before the T Showers this morning..

Ya think? ;) I'm just hoping my first two kids (Marge the MC and and Karl the Kegerator) aren't jealous of the new baby.
