Any one know how hard it should be to turn output flange on transmission. I have 09 X2.

On my 91 with the shaft on it, it's stiff

with the shaft off and just the end of the transmission, it's very easy

If I put my hand over the flange I can turn it but it is difficult. I have the 15w40 oil in it and the air temp was in the 50's.

If the strut bushing is not worn (09 shouldn't be worn out) then it will be difficult to turn. About 3x as hard as turning the prop by hand just due to less leverage.
Why do you ask?

When I was winterizing I noticed the nut on the end of prop shaft was loose. Also noticed oil lines to trans cooler were being pinched when add on ballast bag rolled against engine compartment divider. Hoping trans not damaged.
