I have an x2 and it puts out a great wake. I go huge behind my boat! It cracks me up when I see people wakeboarding behind bassboats and jetskis. What's the point??

The point is they probably bought a boat they could afford. Who bought yours?

They're on the water having a good time. Be happy for them and quit being a pompus MasterCraft owner.
I saw some guys yesterday boarding behind a 70's tri-hull of some kind with a homemade tower. They were rippin' it up and doing things the guys behind the X45s wouldn't do. So, who's got better game?
Looks ain't everything.

$450.00 a month for an X2. Is that a 15 years loan with a 20% down ? If it is, then you are paying too much.

If you are really 14, you are lucky your parents have been able to supply you with a top of the line boat.
Next time why don't you ask the guy if he would like a ride behind your boat. You might find they have more in common with you than you think.

First of all, I'm not 14, I'm 36 and I'm an accountant. I just think its funny. I'd give them a pull, but they'd be to scared of the wake I bet.

I learned how to foot behind a 16 foot with a 75 HP outboard at 36mph. Now I teach people on my MC with a boom and wonder how many faceplants and bruises I could have avoided with the right boat, but I still say that a good skier can ski well behind any boat, on any water, at anytime...it is just easier with the right equipment. One of my friends can, and does, pull wake flips on his board behind any boat without a tower and no balast to increase the wake. He da man! :twocents:

The point is you're an ***. What is the point for all the people who ride behind wake specific boats decked out w/ the latest (HYPErlite) gear and can't even go wake to wake.......
Why don't you offer a pull to those out there riding it up behind whatever they can.. What's wrong afraid you'll get shown up.?

Yeah, I always wants an MC. Especially the X9 209, I am drulling all over every time I see that boat. I am poor, so I don't have a nice boat yet. I do have a 10 foot flat bottom boat with a 9.9 horse out board. When I see an MC on the lake I get closer to them and ask for a ride, all I hear from them is  and speed up their boat out of site. All I want was a ride, is not like I am going to drink all their cold beverages. Ok, maybe a few. :D

I'm not a wakeboarder (footer/skier) and my boat, 89 Tristar 190, is definitely not set up for such. However, I regularly take someone who not only performs flips using the little wake behind it that I have, but he also lands them without using the wake or anything else for that matter. The guy is just damn GOOD! and what boat does HE personally own and ski behind regularly?
Don't laugh too hard now, it's a BAYLINER I/O with maybe 190 HP.

We have a group of 18-20 guys on our lake that took an old Starcraft aluminum boat and make thier own tower. I love to see them out on the water doing the most they can with 1-1/2 foot tall wake. They can do some amazing things with that small of wake.
We try to give them a pull everytime we see them and they turned out to be some of the nicest young men we have ever met. I love to see my kids get excited when we pull one of the "Boys" because with our wake behind the 209 they can get some awesome air.
Hell, I didn't even have a boat until I was in my 30's! I think it's great to see others out doing what they love as long as they respect others!

Let the Accountant bashing begin! Looks like the lawyers are going to get a break for awhile. Most good accountants would either know their own birthday or that 2005-1992 = 13 (not 36).

I have a buddy who owns a 10 yr old Bayliner Challenger. He weights it down with like 1500 lbs of ballast & has a dozen or more big tricks....... back roll, front roll, scarecrow, raley, 1/2 cab, 3, 5, toe side 3, etc.
So it ain't what you ride behind........

A wakeboard boat helps though. Also, I'm talking mainly about bassboats and jetskis. isn't a jetski pulling a wakeboarder just counterintuitive?

Wouldn't that be "counterproductive" not counterintuitive?? If you are truley an accountant I suggest sticking to numbers.

Airjunky, If my memory serves me right.. aren't the old challengers V-Drives.? I would hope one could pull big tricks from a 20' weighted vdrive.. even if it was made by bayliner..
I've seen guys do inverts behind a 16' boat w/ the roped tied to the transom.. fact is a big wake doesn't make you good..

I believe flips and whatever else you decide to do can be done w/o any wake what so ever! Jumps are fun but flips are cooler! Jump the wake, flip anywhere. There are plenty of cool tricks done on the surface w/o the wake. Back flip, layout or whatever. Jet ski would probably not be anyones first choice but an available choice. Go out and screw up the water for everyone else and enjoy. Sorry that was the slalom skier in me! When I wake, skate or knee it is for fun, sorry. When I slalom it is a whole different animal. By the way what is the slalom wake like? :twocents:
