Looking at switching to hubs from the drums... (dont need brakes)... Anyone know if these will work on a 78 S&S trailer (I am about 95% sure based upon bearing measurements but... just unsure about the backspace for the wheel/hub versus what I have now.)

When I re did my trailer I put a whole new axle & springs under it. Honestly, it was an easy project and didn't cost as much as I thought it would.

Honestly I thought about it.... And I keep looking for a total replacement...
If one pops up I will snag it but I dont want to pay 3k on a used trailer...

For those who are interested..... I removed the brakes, drums, etc.... (I dont need them with an F250 4x4 CC 8'box Diesel - it was all junk, shot, broken, rotten, neglected from PO) And test fitted everything as follows (not installed yet, plan on more trailer work first - scrape, prime, paint)
Parts are as follows for the trailer (From E-Trailer; included the part numbers so people can order bearings separate; I bought a spare set so I can have them lubed and ready to go):
** Dexter Trailer Hubs and Drums - 84545BX
** Bearings (L68149 Inner/L44649 Outer)
** Seal(58846)
And I got these too:
** Bearing Buddy Grease Caps - BB1968SS (Stainless)
Best wishes on your project
