Going to look at a boat this week. Boat looks to be very clean, seller sent me lots of pics, but looks like the trailer fenders are a sore spot.

1. Anyone have a link or part number for the side clearance light? It is a 2004 dual axle trailer.

2. What can be done (if anything) to bring back the luster in the fender? Wetsand, buff out with rubbing compound?

3. I am not familiar with the step pad that goes on top of the fender and is missing. My last boat had "Mastercraft" in a non-slip grip tape, but it appears that this fender has a different design on the top.

Thanks

It looks like it just needs to be repainted.

I agree. Might just need a wet sand and a polish though?

Yes, looks like you need to repaint the fender. You could try wetsanding first though.

MC dealers should be able to get you the light, rubber gasket for it and rubber step pad for the fender. Jim@BAWS has always helped me out with parts. :)

I wouldn't let that fender make or break the sale, but it would make a good negotiating tool. Are you capable of doing the work yourself, or would you need to get it done? .........makes a big price difference.

If gelcoat then sand buff and polish will do it---:D

Get it wet. If it looks good wet, then it's easy gel coat work.

They are fiberglass fenders. Yes, I will wet sand and buff to try and bring back the luster. Seller said that they are not cracked or damaged, just faded. I've got part numbers for the side marker light and step pads.
