can someone please enlighten me on exactly how the rear motormount adjustments work? I am trying to align my shaft coupler, however my rear mounts are extremely tight, I have loosened the jam nut on top but the threaded shaft doesnt want to turn, if it does turn its like the rubber in the mounts turns it back, do you have to loosen the nuts on the bottom of the mount? My MC book only says loosen jam "nut" as in the one on top, I have sprayed with PB blaster but its still really tight this is on a 81 SNS, the threads are not rusty and look to be well lubricated, any ideas?

You are going about it the right way. There tends to be a lot of corrosion in the threads of the mount. Sometimes, you can get it moving by turning the adjustment screw in both directions a 1/4 each way. Keep the BP blaster on it.

Maybe try a propane torch but that could be tricky with the rubber nearby
