I had heard rumors about this, but it looks as though it's somewhat official....

Not sure who picked up CorrectCraft and JOA still has MC on their website...anyone know for sure what's going on?

I didn't see where it said correct craft, but I did notice PCM service dealer. Hey, at least you have a Ford. PCM just recently went chevy, so they should be familiar with your carb'd GT40. For what it's worth, I don't have a MC dealer in my home town and my local CC dealer soes a bang-up job servicing my boat (same engine as yours).
Could be worse.

Watersports Central had CC and now it looks like they've picked up MC. I think there's some other swapping going on with a couple of the other "big three" dealers...

Ah, I see. I'm a little out of it. Should've figured Atlanta had more than enough tournament boat dealers.

Found out some more by reading another Wakeboard America thread...
JOA, the old MC dealer, seems to be getting Centurion.

JOA received Centurion around 8/1/05. That is just about going from best to worst. The sales rep. at JOA did not know what the deal was.

Does anyone understand why JOA is dropping Mastercraft in favor of Centurion? As a major lurker, I know there have been complaints about their service department in the past year or so, but they were still in the top 10 for MC nationally and were working hard to improve the servies they offered....

JOA did not drop Mastercraft! Just because a dealer is TOP TEN in sales
does not make them the best. CSI has alot to do with it these days. We watch or CSI like a HAWK. The customer experience is what drives MasterCraft and its return sales.
Enough said... you can read between the lines yourself. No more comments here.
The NEW dealer is AWESOME call him stop by the dealership. I am sure that you will be impressed and want to take you service and sales there. JOA can no longer get GMP parts. Stop by and check them out
I am sure you will be happy

I would ? the validity of JOA not being able to get GMP parts. Having worked for a dealership that experienced a change from MC to another brand, said dealership had at least 12 months to make the transition. Warranty's were honored and parts were available. The last thing MC wants to do is p.o. their boat owners by demanding they go elsewhere to find service for their boats. Whatever the reason for the change, most of us will never know.

This was a great move by Mastercraft. JOA service is terrible. Watersports is only about a block away from JOA and they are terrific. I think everyone will be much happier with them. It deserves JOA right that they screwed so many people that they now have to sell Centurians.
I've been taking my Mastercraft to the Tige dealer for service, since JOA s--ks. The Tige dealer took CC. I am now getting my boat serviced from Watersports, and couldn't be more pleased.

Officially August 1 Mastercraft went to Watersports Central, Nautique went to Cobalt (which had Tige), Tige is going ???, JOA received Ski Centurion. I wish I would have know this before I purchased my X-9 from JOA in March, I would have waited. I can not stand JOA!!

I had heard about this back in May. Thought there was a chance they were going to keep the dealership with all the effort they were putting forth here on the board. I feel bad for Rusty who was trying to make a difference, however, as I am sure everyone in Georgia (as we only have one dealer in GA) will agree, too little too late.
So What about the new dealer? Anybody worked with them or do I get to keep driving to Knoxville?

So now the question is, is JOA going to have to dump all their inventory? Did somebody say fire sale?
I could never get lucky enough that they would have a turn buoy orange 197 there anyway.

What???!! We get no post? Not starting out on the right foot. You would think that they would post on the board sponsored by the manufacturer that they are now representing. They probably don't even know we exist. :wavey:

Maybe they should call Jim @ BAWS, MYMC, Lex at Rambo or Vince at Ski-Dim and see what kind of business this board creates as well as eliminates. Not that I believe that we are all powerful and should be held with the same regard as UAW or the Teamsters union but I think we do have some influence.

A friend of mine called and checked and the person he talked to said they letting them go for 25% off. I don't know if that discount is off of the jacked up price to begin with, but it might be worth checking out if you are looking for a new boat.

Interesting about MC bumping the CC line. Was the Watersports Central / CC break amicable? Anyone know?
This is a loud and clear statement about who makes the premium Boat!!!! :toast: Move out CC........here comes MC. :headbang:

Just from another angle, if they lost CC because of similar reasons why JOA lost MC? I hope ATL gets a quality dealer! It's tough driving 400 miles for a good one.

Out of curiosity ... are M/C dealers year to year ... that's gotta suck going from an MC dealer to some brand on a different tier. How hard (or not hard) did the dealer have to work to loose M/C?
On the CC dealer switching to M/C ... that seems odd ... wonder how their CC customers felt, or if purchasers of the 2 are so different that a ford guy buys ford and a chevy guy buys chevy (metaphorically speaking ..as I'm a Dodge guy and buy M/C;)). I mean, if the shoe was on the other foot and your MC dealer switched to CC and then started pitching the product as superior you would be a little torqued, right?
Is there an annual "fee" the dealers pay, like a resturant franchisee?
All the brands seem to be filling up here in Spokane / CDA, I think Calabria was the only one w/o a dealership selling their 05's, but I believe someone in CDA has picked them up as it looked like they (dealership) had a new one on the lot yesterday as we drove up to the water. Seems that the price is really putting a lot of 2nd tier DD's and V-drives out on the water ... good, bad, or otherwise.
Back to the 1st tier ... the Bu dealership just changed hands to the Yacht Club in CDA, which will be VERY interesting, as the owner of the Yacht Club is a billionaire who owns a lot of printing/newspaper businesses, and pretty much the whole city of CDA along with the resort and golf course.
I'm glad more people seem to be enjoying the water, just wish there were more M/C'ers up here ... plus with used MC's holding there value so well up here it is no wonder people buy new moombas, etc...
Oh well, just my slant. (Sorry for the partial threadjack)

For the past few years I have been openly down on the service department of the local Atlanta MasterCraft dealer (JOA). Over the past year I have seen a number of changes taking place there to correct earlier shortcomings. Recently I had a chance to see many of these changes put into action.
The list of work included X-10 50 hr servicing, PerfectPass upgrade, relocate paddle wheel, lake test, and boat detailing. All was performed professionally and just as importantly on time. A problem was later found with both accessory 12v plugs not working. Rather than asking that the boat be brought back to be looked at, JOA sent their Service Manager and Technician to repair the problem on site (2 hr round trip drive to fix a broken connection). :worthy:
Regardless of the dealership changes announced in this thread, as an Atlanta area resident, I'm glad to see this local inboard dealer working to raise the customer service bar.
