My valve covers look bad to me as a winter project I am going to rebuild my carb, clean up some rust on the engine and would love to find some new valve covers or have mine re chromed if I can't find new ones. Anybody know where to look my Google Fu failed me so far.

There are a million different valve covers available for 351s and they will most definitely be cheaper than having the ones you have rechromed.

These would look killer. I like the black but are available polished too.

This is just the first site that came up for these particular covers on Google.

The cobra ones are kinda cool. While their off you might as well throw a couple gt 40s under them.

MY concern is this...I tried a set from Oreilly last year...they would not fit. They were too tall and would not fit under the riser. I like all those ya'll posted but I'm worried they won't fit.

can you clean up and repaint the ones you have? mine are the cast aluminum ones so I cleaned them up and repainted them. However, I do recall my 87 had the chrome ones so you are probably better off finding newer ones. either way, here are pics of my refurb of valve covers, before and after.

Thanks Mayo, yeah I would love some of the cast covers. Mine are Chromed and look bad. I also like your arrestor cover, mine is naked.

I think these are fairly identical to the ones on your engine.

Yep and those look just like the ones on my boat and the same as the ones I got from Oreilly but they were taller than those on the boat and wouldn't fit.

I'd like to know where you get the cooling hoses that have MasterCraft on them??

+1 on that too

The ones I posted should work as they are pretty low profile. Some of the cast covers are really tall to cover roller rockers etc. but these are not.

I'd like to know where you get the cooling hoses that have MasterCraft on them??
Your Mastercraft dealer should be able to get you some.

There are different valve covers for carb and efi, the "tall" ones are to clear roller rockers and egr on efi models You just need a std height covers. I replaced my chrome ones with these last year. Ford Racing M-6582-A301R no clearance issues

One thing I forgot to mention is the original retainer bolts won't work on the aluminum covers, the flange is thicker and original bolts are to short, make sure you get longer bolts or stud kit.

Got mine powdercoated this last winter, I love the way they came out. Sandblasting was a pita though!.....Cost was 40$ for both at a local shop since I brought them already blasted.. not too bad I find!

Is that an automotive air cleaner or does Moroso make spark arrestors?

These have always been my favorite 351 valve covers - and that is why they are on our boat... (by the way they fit under the risers with no problem)
