Isn't that the exact seat that we saw someone complain about it being broken in the middle after someone walked on it in the middle? Better build some support under it if you want it to stay so nice looking.

Mine does:)

What does it do?
transforms for dual purpose,
and yes it's the same one that everyone's complaining about.
but with some good support, I could see some use in it.

They changed the seat on the "05" it is stronger and rests on two stainless hand rails, works really good it is a big reason I stuck to my guns on the direct drive! We have not had any problem so far and it clips underneath to keep it in the boat.

Mine does it too. Someone's deck broke from a person walking on it????

Is that a pic of an MC or some other brand of boat?
looks like a 98-99 205 to me

I think it is that way in the X-7, I have the X-9 and it is same concept just a little different and wider! Sitting on the stainless hand rails.
I think you could be right, I am pretty sure it is MC
Good call on the trailer pads, I didn't notice that.

Answered my own question after noticing the trailer guide covers.....but do the new MC's not have MasterCraft stitched onto the back seat anymore, or is that just an older one?

My '02 209 does this - I don't have the ss rails but just arm rests - which are more comfortable to sit or lean against when the seat is down. Lot's of room to lay on when it is up!

But not terribly unusual...... I'm told that discoloring of that center piece with the MC logo is due to the heat process they used to make the logo. My own isn't quite that bad, but not far from it. And I've seen worse!

Mine is slightly yellow, but not that bad. Thought it was pollen deep in the vinyl. Milk, your whole back seat comes out (back, base, and all), or you have a step under the cushion. More useful, but that's just my opinion. Plus, it won't split from too much weight. On the late 90s boats, I've felt like I needed a shoe horn to get the seat back in at times. But mostly, it's pretty convenient. I still like being able to take the whole shebang out.

While we're on the subject, on the 96 & 97 MC's, it looks like there is a small trunk on the back, but not sure. Can anyone verify?

No, it's just a transom pad that forms part of the sundeck.

Wow, I didn't know I could do that with my seat!
I wouldn't let anyone big use it that way, it looks weak.

Mine does! If it breaks in the middle-either get a new girlfriend or you have the right one! It's all perception.

my X 9 seat transforms into a larger sundeck....sits on the padded armrests....the 05s have stainless handles that it sits on....

Doesn't the rear seat in the late 90's ProStar have a removable lower cushion that transforms into part of the sunpad (similar to the one in the picture)? I'm pretty sure my friend's '97 PS190 does this, although he rarely uses it this way.

Yep, and thats the boat that has the honeycomb seat we talked about having problems breaking in the middle.

Does anyone know if the 99ps190 does this, I have put mine up there but it does not have any support on the sides to rest on.

Nope, ours doesn't do that. I think our trunk cover is wide enough to double as a sunpad so I don't miss it that much...

You're brave laying your skis on the fin like that. I used to get yelled at for doing that when I was a kid and why I don't yell, I don't let people put skis down like that.
