New to me is a 96 Prostar 190. It was leaking water thru the drive shaft packing nut so I replaced the stuffing and solved that problem, however I was still getting water in the bilge. Investigation led to the rudder box area to find that it had been hit and distorted. I have a new box on order but my question is about some stress cracks I found in the hull bottom near the mount. The cracks are minor about 1 inch in length. Should I stop drill them?Should I just epoxy them or get some better repair material and what type? I do not believe any water leaks thru the cracks they appear to be stress related to the bending of the box flange. I believe the leak came thru the distorted box flange not mating with the hull. Any advice welcome.
