Just would like some suggestions on a good affordable wakeboarding boat. Even if it was designed for other uses and could easily be converted into something to throw a decent wake. What do ya'll think would be an option for me with a boat in the early to mid 90's?

What is "affordable" to you? Give me an idea of a price range and I could better help you decide.

yz, you took the words right out of my mouth. ;)

But seriously, look for a 96 or newer PS 205. This was the original Xstar hull. I'm no boarder, but it is the only hull from the 90s still in production (currently X2).

The new X-80 Twin Screws is pretty affordable. :D

On any other day this topic would have gotten about 10 pages of replies by now, but 02lightning has occupied our attention today.

Thanks West TN wake, the board needs one of these questions at least once a week!

:worthy:  :woohoo:

Instead of years if you could put it in $$ maybe you could make it into a 2000 X type boat (maybe even a Maristar, from where the X boats were born).

If it would help ya'll to give me some more suggestions i would like to get into something for bout 13k or so. I kno it isn't much but i'm a college kid just trying to put myself through college and am needing a boat to get me through as well. I don't have to have an x craft or anything just something comperable to my skill level. I've been progressing and have out grown my current boat. It has taught me many things but its just time to move on to bigger and better things.

If you look around, you could probably find a early 90's 205, which is a great ski and boarding boat. Found this one on boat trader, although it is a little far for you. http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/9/6/80291796.htm
