Has anyone tried to convert a 2000 TBI motor over to DBW? I took a ride in a 2010 SAN and the throttle was automatically adjusted by the speed control before it got to the required speed. I do have a PP stargazer but it always overshoots. Is there maybe new software that will reduce the throttle right after it nears the required speed (when the beep is heard)?
I have tried all the different settings but still takes a while to settle if you do not manually pull the throttle back a bit.

Sounds like you are giving too much throttle to the system. I have zero problems with my Stargazer system overshooting with the TBI motor but you have to drive it correctly. Steady throttle to the beep and then do not add anymore. If you slam it to the floor and then let PP dial all of that throttle back it will overshoot and take a while to get on speed. Stargazer does not like to have extra throttle like the old 6.5 and prior systems did.

No easy way to convert to drive by wire. There is a company out there doing it on Nautiques but it costs in the neighborhood of $7k. Better off selling your boat and buying something newer with TBW in it already.

Wow $7k is steep. I only paid 13k for it. Have been in contact with PP and will try again this weekend. I feel it is working perfectly but would like a quicker response when it hits the set point.

Looks like it can be done, saw this post a while a go on BoS (http://ballofspray.vanillaforums.com/discussion/3227/complete-induction-system-08-mcxe-control#Item_3)
He probably sold it by now, but he'll know what you need.

Also this looks promising for you as well, BoS (http://ballofspray.vanillaforums.com/discussion/3247/zero-off-for-2006-mastercrafts#Item_9)
