Bought a 1990 tristar earlier this summer. Love it!! Had an uh oh last weekend however and damaged the prop driving it up on the trailer. The motor is a Ford Indmar 350 and the prop is a 3 blade 13 13. Sending prop for repair but a friend has one that came off of a 1989 Mastercraft. Unsure what motor size. The number on it is 18 14. Are they compatible? Does anyone know if I can put this one on my boat?

The motor should be a PCM Ford 351 Windsor.

You might mean 14-18 and that is for a powerslot transmission, still with the 351 but a different setup. You need the 13-13.

In addition to the engine, the boat's transmission plays a major factor in selecting the correct prop for your boat. From the 13X13, you had on before, it would be a safe bet that you have a 1:1 transmission. You'll need something pretty close to that size....some of the new CNC props will have less pitch and more surface area on the blade. An example would be the Acme 541 which has a 12 inch pitch and works quite well on boats like yours.

Oj 13x13 4 blade is an excellent choice to go with, I switched last year to this prop per oj props recommendation and have been very happy with the way it performs as compared to the 3 blade 13x13, and don't use that 14x18 it's wrong for your setup.

Curious how the damage happened driving it on the trailer?

I heard/felt my prop graze the prop guard one time, no prop damage though.

I changed my 13 X 13 to a OJ 13 X 11 and love it. It gave me alot more pulling power for boarding with ballast.
